There is nothing you remember quite as much as seeing a larger than life acting icon up on the big screen. The United States has been fascinated with movie celebrities since the dawn of the movie era more than a century ago. During that period, we’ve come to expect a “perfect” from our stars and starlets.
Sometimes, though, a movie star with a recognizable look catches our attention and wins our hearts not just because they are beautiful or handsome, but because they have a unique smile that can’t be forgotten. Manahawkin dentists like Dr Massa love folks like this! Here are some examples:
- Kirsten Dunst – Kirsten is an extremely talented actress who also has unconventional beauty. That’s because she has the sort of smile you don’t always see in Hollywood. Take a close look and you’ll see why her teeth have earned her some mean nicknames. Dunst rises above it, though, through talent and beauty that sets her apart from others.
- Julia Roberts – Julia Roberts is often called the “Pretty Woman” of Hollywood because of her big, bold smile that known to be larger than life. When Julia Roberts smiles wide, it’s as big as a fireworks display. It’s true, no one has a smile like she does, which is one of the reasons why Julia is a silver screen legend. Any Manahawkin dentist would be honored to have her as a patient (and we bet she doesn’t need a bit of Botox in Ocean County to maintain it!)
- Clint Howard – Clint Howard is an actor who you may not necessarily know by name, but when you see him you immediately know you’ve seen him in a million movies. Howard is not a matinee idol and he knows it, but he’s also one of the most talented actors in film. His smile is more than a little unusual and quite distinctive, and that’s a big part of his charm.
- Gary Busey – Gary Busey’s teeth are huge. Really huge. They’re a perfect fit for Busey’s eccentric personality, which is why he got extra large veneers to replace his original teeth after a 1988 motorcycle accident. That huge smile was too important a part of his image to change.
- Miley Cyrus – For this young performer, it’s not as much her smile that’s is unconventional and recognizable – simple Manahawkin dentistry could ensure most people have one – it’s what she does with it that sets her apart. Just like a female Gene Simmons (the guy from the rock band KISS), she makes it a point to swing her enormous tongue any chance she gets. Smiles don’t get much any more un-traditional than that.
- Anna Paquin – This star of True Blood got as much attention as a young actor for her gap-toothed smile as she did for her considerable talent. Paquin bucked movie star trends and decided to keep her smile just as it is, gap and all, even though a Manahawkin dentist has the ability to correct it for her. It has become a part of her signature look, proving that unconventional and attractive are not opposites.
- Ed Helms – Ed Helms is the toothless goof from The Hangover comedy movies, the guy who made getting a tooth yanked out hilarious. He makes this list of crazy smiles because there were no special effects used in the film. Helms really did yank his tooth out! It turns out this actor has Manahawkin dental office implants and temporarily took one out for the movie.
- Jim Carrey – The elastic-faced Jim Carrey is one of the most hilarious comedic actors of our day, and much of the credit goes to his shape shifting facial skills. If Carrey has a traditional smile, it’s probably hidden behind the kind of face-bending weirdness that few can imitate and none can match.
